I was unable to speak or understand a word of German so when my daughter started German at school I was no help to her what so ever. I decided I would like German lessons too to enable me to help and encourage her. Katie has been wonderful; she is so patient with my faltering conversation and my inaccurate spelling! Although I hope she has seen and heard it all and perhaps worse in the classroom! She has devised a programme which shadows what my daughter (also called Katie) is doing in school. She frequently comes armed with a game she has devised for us to play together in the week to help us both, and that doesn’t feel like homework for either of us.
I thoroughly enjoy my weekly lessons in the comfort and privacy of my own home and feel that through Katie’s help I am able to support and encourage my daughter’s development and enjoyment of German.
