Did you know that France is known as “L’Hexagone” because of its shape, and that the south of France is known as “Le Midi”, literally midday? I have French lessons because I think it’s useful to learn another language. It’s fun, interesting and helps me with my school work. I’ve improved a lot with the lessons and I could never have learnt as much as I have done without Katie’s help. The lessons are fun and enjoyable. My sister Amy has learnt so much French and can’t wait to learn more. Amy’s always asking when her next French lesson is. We couldn’t ask for a better teacher.Having lived in Europe for the past few years my 10 year old daughter has learnt to speak French. On our return to the UK we wanted to help her to keep her language skill up-to-date. Since September 2004 my daughter has had weekly lessons with a Babble and Speak tutor. She really looks forward to her lesson every week, and not only has she kept up with her French but she has shown a steady improvement.My lessons with Babble and Speak give me the opportunity to speak French each week. We discuss literature and articles from the press, current affairs etc. It gives me the chance to check any grammar points I’m unsure of and gives me the confidence to speak French when I’m abroad.
